Thank you for visiting my Rita Hayworth site! I hope you've enjoyed it so far. As it has been made apparent, Rita is one of my very favorite actresses. I've been a fan of hers since I was fifteen years old, when I first saw a documentary called Rita Hayworth: Dancing Into the Dream. My first opinion was that she was the greatest dancer I had ever seen. My introduction to her dancing was the short tap number she does in the beginning of You'll Never Get Rich with Fred Astaire. I watched it over and over again.
My name is Cindy and I'm in my mid-twenties. I know it's rather different that someone of my age would take an interest in "Hollywood's Golden Era," but Rita isn't the only classic actress I like. Among my other favorites are Lucille Ball, Lana Turner, Grace Kelly, Ava Gardner, Betty Grable, Marlene Dietrich, Audrey Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, Carole Lombard, Gene Tierney. As for male actors: Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Gregory Peck, Fred Astaire. Favorite director - Billy Wilder. Favorite "Rita movies" - The Lady in Question, You Were Never Lovelier, The Loves of Carmen. I enjoy just about all of them though. A few of my other favorite classic films are Swing Time, Laura, Dance Girl Dance, Bombshell, Charade, Stage Door, The Postman Always Rings Twice, many more!
If you have any questions or comments about Rita Hayworth or this site you can leave a message in the guestbook or e-mail me. I'll do my best to find you an answer.
I am the author of three film-related books. My next will be on Grace Kelly. Please take a look at those that have already been published on Amazon:
